DEUCE is a curatorial project bringing together artistic positions from across Europe. In each exhibition two artists from different cities are matched in different spaces. The curatorial approach is not a confrontation of different perspectives on a neutral ground (i.e. the white cube), but rather the collaborative unfolding of ever new games on changing grounds.

The idea of DEUCE is particularly inspired by the game of tennis: two players with a unique approach to the game, a personal style, are hitting back and forth. As their game takes place, the potential of the space unfolds anew. Depending on the surface (grass, clay or concrete) and the spirit they are redefining the court, its geometry and its constraints.
